Richard Kelly

Richard Kelly (born 28 March 1975 in Newport News, Virginia) is a film director and screenwriter American, who won the recognition of movie lovers thanks to its film Donnie Darko, the year 2001.

Kelly is Gatan in Midlothian, Virginia, but moved to Southern California to study at the USC School of Cinema-Television. Upon graduation in 1997, created two shorts: The Goodbye Place and Visceral Matter.

He has written scripts for Cat’s Cradle (of Kurt Vonnegut) and Holes (from Louis Sachar), film adaptations but latter was never produced.
