Alessandro Camon (1963) is a writer and filmmaker born in Padua, Italy, currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Camon graduated from the University of Padua, in the school of philosophy, and creceived a master’s degree in film at UCLA in Los Angeles.
Camon wrote The Messenger alongside the director Oren Moverman. The film won the silver bear for best screenplay and Peace Film Award at the Berlin Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the Deauville Festival.
His films as a producer include The Cooler, thank you for smoking and Owning Mahowny.
Camon began his career at Italy as a film critic. He has written several books and articles on film, in Italian and English, including an analysis of the Godfather.
Son of Ferdinando Camon novelist and Gabriella Imperatori columnist, and is married to film producer Suzanne Warren (the last King of Scotland).
