Andrew Niccol (born 1964) is a screenwriter, producer and film director from New Zealand, author of Lord of war and Gattaca, among others.

Biography

Andrew Niccol was born in New Zealand, began his career in London, directing TV advertising, later moved to Los Angeles to make movies. He interested producer Scott Rudin with his screenplay for The Truman Show (1998), but Rudin was not willing to bet a rookie, Director in particular where Jim Carrey formed part of the project, increasing the budget to approximately $ 60 million. Niccol became famous after the premiere of Gattaca (1997) a magnificent film sci-fi directed and written by him.
