Darren Star (born 1961) is a television producer American producer of films and librettist, best known for the success of the series Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place (in both co-produtor with Aaron Spelling), and Sex and the city. Having addressed in these series, personally wrote several screenplays and directed many episodes.

Star grew up in Potomac, Maryland and graduated from the Winston Churchill High School.

Among other Star works we find comedy Grosse Pointe, which is written by the own Star as a satire of 90210. Or her most recent television work includes Central Park West (1995), The Street (2000) and Miss Match (2003).
