Guillaume Laurant is a novelist and writer of French film, best known for his films co-written with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Laurant is married to the French actress sandrine bonnaire.

Laurant is the author (along with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet) of the script of Amélie (original title: Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain), film was nominated for the Academy Award for best original screenplay (2002), to the César award for best screenplay (2002) and won the BAFTA Award for best original screenplay (2002).[ 1 ]

Again alongside Jeunet adapted the novel by sébastien japrisot A long engagement for the film, released in 2004 and that returned to be candidate for the César award for best screenplay in 2005.[ 1 ]

October 2009 opened the comedy fingerstyle à tire-larigot, with a screenplay by Laurant and Jeunet and direction of the latter.[ 2 ]
