Oliveira Cézar Agnes is a screenwriter and film director argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina, born in 1964 and made several films to date.
Professional activity
In the 1980s he made his first direction courses and put in scene as followed in the Argentina John f. Kennedy University psychology career. From 1990 to 1992 he made the theatre address and served as curator for performing arts at the Museum of modern art. In January 2006 he received a mention FIPRESCI Argentina best film national 2005 and in May the same year she was awarded the prize for the best work of fiction by a woman at the International Festival of cinema Pobre, Cuba. She was nominated for the silver Condor awards in the categories “Best picture”, “Best address” and “Best picture”. In May 2007 was awarded the “Découverte du Jeune Cinéma Argentin” awarded by the FEMIS film school – Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Métiers de l’Image et du Son-during the ninth edition of Sudestada held in Paris from 9 to 24 May.
In 2007 he released his third film, foreign a free version of Euripides, “Iphigenia in Aúlide” at the Berlin Film Festival and continues through numerous international festivals, of being nominated for the Condor prizes and Awards South. In 2009 he received the Argentores Award for best adapted screenplay.
Count of damages based on the tragedy Oedipus, his fourth film, premiered at the 60th Edition of the Festival Berlin 2010 and was presented at La Maison of l’ Ámerique Latine in Paris, in the framework of the conclusion by the Argentine Bicentenario in France to then take part in the official competition of the Festival of Buenos Aires (BAFICI).
Oliveira Cézar serves as Professor of film and screenplay address in the Universidad del Cine (FUC) and gives seminars in philosophy and film.
