Joseph “Joe” Lo Truglio (born 2 December 1970) is an actor, American comedian, and screenwriter. It is mostly known as a recurring character in the sketches of the sitcom The State.

Its beginnings

Truglio was born in Ozone Park, New York, however, grew up in Margate, Florida and graduated in Coconut Creek High school. He met many of his future classmates from State University of New York, where he participated in the Act of comedy club. The club were David Wain, Michael Showalter, Michael Ian Black, Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Robert Ben Garant, what was to become the casting of The State.

Career

It not only Truglio wrote and acted in several episodes of The State, also participated in the animation of the show. After The State ended in 1995, appeared in other programs, starting with other comedy show: Upright Citizens Brigade, Law & Order and Third Watch.

In 2001, Lo Truglio appeared in the work of his former teammate of The State, David Wain, Wet Hot American Summer, where he participated as an advisor.

Then, in 2005, appeared on Comedy Central Stella show. Then appeared in the film, The Baxter Showalter. He has appeared in Reno 911!, and movie Reno 911!: Miami. It has lent his voice to several video games, including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and The Warriors. In 2005, he lent his voice to Rockstar Games to be used with Vincenzo “Lucky” Cilli.

It has appeared in several commercials for television, including reminders for Gateway Computer and particularly memorable one for Jack Link Beef Jerky.

Recently Lo Truglio appeared as Francis driver in the comedy of Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen Superbad and appears as Paul Mardino in The Ten. In 2008 he participated in film Pineapple Express and Fanboys.
