Carlos Borcosque was a film director and screenwriter Chilean whose full name was Carlos Francisco Borcosque Sánchez, who was born in Valparaiso, Chile on September 9, 1894 and died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, country where had established their residence and made most of its activity, on September 5, 1965. It was also an enthusiast of aviation from the time she was in its infancy.

Early years

While his first studies already wrote theatre which was staged in a makeshift home theater directing fellow representing them.

Return to Chile

Stay in the United States

In the United States met and interviewed the major figures of Hollywood for his radio show and the Chilean magazine of film Ecran, which he founded in April 1930 wrote and directed entirely from Hollywood with great success in the Spanish-speaking countries. Borcosque reached Argentina with a working technique learned in Hollywood that was different. He introduced the so-called shooting form and made it work plans by sequence: decorated costumes, props, characters, etc. and thus significantly reducing costs.
