Garry Kent Marshall is an actor, director, writer and producer American, born 13 November 1934 in New York city. It is brother of actress and Director Penny Marshall.
Biography
During his tenure with the University, wrote the column sports University magazine. Began as a writer for comedians such as Joey Bishop and Phil Foster. Wrote Tonight Show with Jack Paar. In 1961 he moved to Hollywood, where he teamed up with Jerry Belson as television writer. Both worked on The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Danny Thomas Show, and The Lucy Show. Furthermore adapted the work of Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple for television. His work, Marshall created Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Mork Mindy.
In 1984, was a success as a writer of the film The Flamingo Kid. Then wrote Nothing in Common, Overboard, Beaches, Pretty Woman, Frankie and Johnny and Exit to Eden.
Marshall is also an actor, appearing in series such as Murphy Brown and films such as Goldfinger (uncredited), Grand Theft Auto, Lost in America, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Runaway Bride, and Orange County.
It has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood.
