Nick Castle (full name: Nicholas Charles Castle, Jr.), was born on September 21, 1947 is agent, screenwriter and film director, best-known for his role as Michael Myers in Halloween film.

Biography

Nick Castle was born in Los Angeles, California, is the son of Millie Granata and Nicholas Charles Castle, (1910 – 1968), who was agent and choreographer television and was nominated for an Emmy award. Child, Castle often appeared as a supplement or in minor roles in the films of his father. He studied cinema at USC, where he served as cinematographer for the filming of the movie The Resurrection of Broncho Billy.

Appears in the credits of Major Payne, Dennis the Menace, The Last Starfighter and Connors’ War as director, escape from New York and Hook as a screenwriter and Tap as writer. He played Michael Myers in Halloween, film directed by his fellow USC, John Carpenter, 1978.

During the filming of the movie Halloween, Nick Castle took twenty-five dollars a day for playing Michael Myers.

The latest draft of Castle is the script for August Rush, a drama directed by Kirsten Sheridan and pneumatically by Freddie Highmore, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Robin Williams, and Keri Russell, released in 2007.

Nick Castle won a Saturn Award for having written the boy who could fly. Other prizes: Raven Silver (by Delivering Milo), Grand Prize (for The Last Starfighter)
