Robert Alexander Tálice (1902, Buenos Aires, Uruguay – 15 March 1999, 20 may), was a renowned journalist, theatrical, critical author of Uruguayan novelist, playwright, and film.

Biography

In 1910, with only eight years, he began writing and at thirteen, in 1915, opened his first theatrical play titled La nena in the Florida Theatre of his native country. At the beginning of the 1920s he traveled to Paris (France) and later told his experience there in his book Paris is well worth a muse (Ed. Corregidor, 1986).

She settled in the city of Buenos Aires in 1923 and soon, presented their new works: the Puritans and last evasion – in collaboration with Enrique González Tuñón-. Invited by Natalio Botana, joined the drafting of the popular Daily critique as head of entertainment and worked together with Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto arlt, Horacio Rega Molina, Pablo Rojas peace and Nicolás olivari, brothers Raúl and Enrique González tuñón and Petit Murat Ulysses.

He made translations and adaptations of works by Luigi pirandello, William Shakespeare, Oscar wilde, noël coward and other authors of various nationalities and gave countless talks at universities of Europe and America.
