Sofia Coppola Carmina (New York) (14 may 1971) is an American screenwriter and film Director. It is the first American director nominated for Academy Award for Best Director. It is daughter of the director and producer Francis Ford Coppola and Eleanor Coppola, with what is descent Irish, English and Italian. She was married with the director Spike Jonze since 26 June 1999 until 5 December 2003, when filed a lawsuit separation also claiming “irreconcilable differences”. You are currently paired with the French band Phoenix, Thomas Mars, which has a daughter, Romy, named after the brother of Sofia, Roman singer. It is the niece of actress Talia Shire and cousin of actor Nicolas Cage.

Sofia Coppola’s film career began at an early age, since one baby appeared in the film “The godfather”. It has also appeared in several movies of his father. His best-known role was as Mary Corleone “Godfather.” Part III “(1990), a paper which was initially intended for Winona Ryder, but that latter illness prevented represent.” This interpretation received much criticism and ended with the acting career of Sofia (although later made appearances in the films “Inside Monkey Zetterland” (1992) and “Star Wars: episode I – the phantom menace” (1999)).

2010 Wins the Golden Lion of the Venice festival for his latest film Somewhere, a star of Hollywood performed by Stephen Dorff, who lives in the famous Chateau Marmont Los Angeles hotel and the radical change of life who suffers with the arrival of his daughter, played by Elle Fanning history.
