Tilman Valentin “Til” Schweiger (Freiburg, December 19, 1963) is an actor, director, screenwriter and producer. Til Schweiger has addressed many of the most successful Germany films of the 1990s  and is considered one of the few German film stars today

Biography

Til Schweiger grew in Gießen and Heuchelheim where he finished Gymnasium (Institute). After the Abitur (secondary school final examination) chose studies of teacher training; However soon after left school and started the race of medicine, which also left.

Schweiger began in 1986 studying acting in the performance school theatre Cologne Der Keller and finally finished studies in 1989. In the same year was hired by the theater Bonn Against-Kreis.

His first job out of the stage was in the role of “Joe Zenker”, a character in the successful television Lindenstraße. His first film role as protagonist was Manta-Manta, where she played “Bertie”, an automotive brand Opel amateur film. First prize a year later received it for playing a boxer in Ebbies Bluff. However, it was Der bewegte Mann that launched him to fame.

Schweiger founded together with Thomas Zickler and André Hennicke in 1996 producer Mr. Brown Entertainment, which produced his first film producer: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. This served as a school for Barfuss, which he directed, produced and acted by a Bambi which won in 2005.

Keinohrhasen film was released in 2007. Schweiger not only directed, but also produced, wrote the screenplay and the main character. In this film acted along with their four children: Valentin Florian, Luna Marie, Lilli Camille and Emma Tiger for the first time.

Til Schweiger is case in 1995 with the model American Dana Carlson and is the mother of his children, are now separated.
