Timothy Tim William Burton, (Burbank, California;) (August 25, 1958) is a director, producer, writer and American Designer. The majority of his films have been characterized by the presence of imaginary worlds where usually present, dark and Gothic elements whose protagonists are usually misfits and enigmatic beings. This stamp of identity becomes apparent in movies such as Batman and The Nightmare Before Christmas, the latter was produced by him. Acquired great fame by directing successful films include Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the chocolate factory. Since he directed his first feature film (the great adventure of Pee-Wee) in 1985, it has moved to directing and producing numerous films, some of them have greatly rewarded. With Corpse Bride was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated film in 2006. Often works with his close friend Johnny Depp, musician Danny Elfman and his sentimental companion Helena Bonham Carter.

His last films have been Sweeney Todd (2007), which won the Golden Globe Award for best film – musical or comedy; 9, which premiered on September 9, 2009 United States and Alice in Wonderland, which premiered on March 3, 2010 Egypt, Italy Sweden.

Biography

Timothy William Burton was born on 25 August of 1958 in the city of Burbank, California, the first of the two sons of Bill Burton and Jean Erickson. Most of his childhood was characterized by the representation, along with his brother, parodies with bloody crimes (murder, murder, etc), whereas it same as an introverted – one of his personal anecdotes is the of have simulated a murder with an axe, to scare the neighbors to such an extent that one of them called the police. Their neighbors what catalogued as a «social misfit with frequent appetite for science fiction and horror’  due to his fondness for low-budget horror films.[ 9 ] [ 10 ] At age 13, he made his first animated short with some of his friends, The Island of Doctor Agor, [ 6 ] which was followed by Houdini, where Burton played Harry Houdini escapist.

After completing his studies in high school, in 1976, he entered College sophomore California Institute of Arts – founded by Walt Disney in manner of ‘alternative learning platform’ for young people interested in animation. After being hired by Disney, Burton began to collaborate in the company as an apprentice to animation in the sketches of The Fox and the Hound, 1981. In his own words,  I was hired just when the study was in crisis and managers seeking new staff to join any price. While working as a conceptual artist, Burton became friends with Executive Julie Hickson and in charge of creative development at Disney, Tom Wilhite. Both were impressed by her talent, even though the company had rejected its collaborations in The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron.[ 16 ] In 1982, Wilhite funded it with $60,000 to produce an adaptation of the poem Vincent, Burton had written shortly before under the original concept of child microrrelato. Frankenweenie

Tim released his second short film, entitled Frankenweenie and starring Oliver Barrett, Daniel Stern and Shelley Duvall in 1984. Filmed in black and white with a duration of 30 minutes, the film was inspired by Frankenstein of James Whale. His argument covers the efforts of a child by reviving his deceased dog Sparky, who died after being hit by a car.

Although it was nominated in the Saturn Awards, the content of the short made Disney to dismiss Burton aftermath of having completed their production because Frankenweenie ‘was found too terrifying for their younger audiences ‘. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Originally, Burton had intended write and illustrate a book with poetic tendencies (rhymes, verses, poems,..) and animated characters for the entertainment of smaller audiences. Sleepy Hollow: Legend of the Horseman without head

Alice’s adventures in Wonderland
