Vampirella is the name used by the journalist, writer, screenwriter and film director Paloma Aznar to sign some of his works. He began using the name of the famous comic strip character, at the end of the 1980s, in the pages of the Spanish newspaper The independent.

Paloma Aznar was born in Wiesbaden (Germany). He moved to Madrid (Spain) with his family as a child. It is known above all for his work in press (newspaper El Independiente, ABC, El Mundo, Diario 16 or El País and, as a collaborator, in more than twenty publications), TV (programs 1 TVE, La 2, Tele 5, Antena 3, MTV, Canal Sur, TeleMadrid, Canal nou, ETB and channel +) and radio. He has written several books and directed documentaries and fiction films. It has also worked in education, sex education (member of the sexological society SEXPOL) and the Organization of various cultural events. He has received film, literary and journalistic awards.
