Jonathan Jakubowicz (Caracas, January 29, 1978). He is a director, producer and screenwriter of Venezuelan cinema.

Descendant of Polish Jews. He studied Social communication at the Universidad Central of Venezuela, and during this time worked as a film critic for the radio station Radio Caracas Radio, Group 1BC. This job served it to establish contacts with producer Elizabeth Avellan, and eventually her husband, director Robert Rodriguez.

His works include the documentary the boats of hope (2000), which tells Jewish immigrants arrived Venezuela, escaping the Nazi Holocaust. Also the short Distance (2002), based on the attacks of September 11, 2001. His first feature film, Kidnapping Express (2005), became one of Venezuelan movies more grossing in the country.
