Of Cecco was identified, mainly with the reñidero and Capocómico, with the current “new realists” in the late 1960s, followers of the American Arthur miller and tennessee williams, integrated among others by Ricardo halac, Roberto cossa, Ricardo talesnik, Mauricio Julio, germán rozenmacher and Carlos somigliana.

It’s a critical current at least three basic directions: 1) against previous models of dramatic writing: raised take the scene Argentine, the common man in terms more realistic, more close to daily life, dispensing with the need to “optimistic” character and the defence of the “final victory” of socialist realism I maquineo. ((2) against the cultural values of the middle class main consumers of the National Theatre, which they considered ignorant, hypocrite, violent after an appearance of moderation, reactionary disguised as progressive and put at the service of the defence of the status quo of an objectionable society in many ways and 3) against reactionary patterns and conservative and military authoritarianism of certain policy sectors national, by which his texts behind the need for a change or more radicalized, texts of a revolution.

Its production is short, but it is draw attention to a rare ductility allows you to move from open realism, touching tenderness in the black comedy without transitions or more importantly, concessions.
